The Island of Mingulay

The cliffs at Mingulay Mingulay is a deserted island, which is cared for by the National Trust for Scotland. You might have heard the Mingulay Boat Song.

You can take boat trips from Castlebay on Barra to Mingulay, which is what we did on a perfect summer's day.

This island is very special! The third highest cliffs in the UK (around 250 metres), peace and serenity as long as you don't disturb the birds.
